Obituary
Madison – Barbara Lynn (Soehnlein) Sippy, age 73, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Capital Lakes in Madison. She was born in Madison, August 26, 1950, the daughter of George and Mary (Capaci) Soehnlein. Barbara graduated from Madison East High School in 1970. She married David Sippy on July 29, 1972, in Richland Center. Barbara worked as a janitor at Anchor Bank for 30 years until her retirement in 2016.
Barbara liked crafts and going to antique shops. She loved music and enjoyed reading. She was a great listener. She loved her family and was an awesome mom.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 51 years, David; two children, Steve and Beth; sister, Mary Kay (Scott) Holmes; brother-in-law, Tom (Ann) Sippy; her aunts, Delores Annen and Eunice Wheeler; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Soehnlein.
A Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison. Another visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the funeral home with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Burial will take place at Button Cemetery in Lone Rock, Wisconsin.

Barb could light up a room with her smile. She was always so sincere and kind. She loved to talk about anything and everything. I can still hear her voice. I will forever be grateful for the time I had knowing her. I will miss you forever "Barb" Emma and my hearts are broken. We will always remember the good times, there was never any bad times with you. I will miss our talks. Love u so much. I'm so sorry to you all.
