Obituary
Patricia Marie (Poppa) Dayton, age 79, of Madison passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on November 30, 1944, the daughter of Francis and Anna Poppa.
Pat graduated from Central High School in Madison. Patty began her career with the State of Wisconsin. Patty loved to camp at River Bend. She also loved going up to the Dells with Dawn, they walked the river walk. Patty loved her daughter, Dawn beyond words.
Patty is survived by her daughter Dawn Marie Dayton-Degenhardt; two sisters Elizabeth (Richard) Beale and Susan (Ronald) Walz; sisters-in-law Judy Poppa and Diane Poppa; and many other family members and friends. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Francis Jr. and Thomas Poppa; sister Mary (Jim) Maxwell; and son-in-law James Degenhardt.
Patty’s wishes were to be cremated and have no services.
