May Fong To Pun was born in Shanghai, China on October 5, 1929 to a family of 10 and married into a family of Kuomitang General. After the Communist Revolution in 1949, she escaped with her first born son to Hong Kong where she raised a family of 6 children. She immigrated to the United States in 1972 to give her children a better life. She was an accomplished cook who enjoyed making delicious meals and was a fan of the Shanghai opera and playing mahjong. May Fong was survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. May Fong was a loving mother and devoted wife who was loved by her family and friends.
May Fong was known for her kindness and generosity, always putting others before herself. She had a warm smile and a gentle heart that made everyone around her feel loved and cared for. May Fong will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May Fong passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and courage that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI. A Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
