The heavens welcomed the best bread baking and accordion playing angel, Ruth R. Mersberger on June 18, 2024, at the age of 98. Ruth was born on May 2, 1926, in Sheboygan to Gottlieb and Fredia (Jurk) Ertel. There she married James J. Mersberger and spent the majority of her life in Monona and Madison area.
Ruth is survived by her children, Virgina (Richard) Jorenby, Mary Armstrong, Jim (Nancy) Mersberger; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter, JoAnn Jorenby.
