Joseph Agnes

Joseph Leonard Agnes died on July 4, 2024. He was born on November 27, 1949, in Washington D.C. to his parents Joseph L. and Alice M. Agnes.

As a Navy brat, he lived in Maryland, Hawaii, Guam, California, and Iowa until his father’s retirement in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A graduate of Monona Grove High School and UW-Platteville, Joe had a gift for all things mechanical – possessed of a keen and meticulous engineering mind. When not working, he traveled to Mexico, Australia, Alaska, Bonaire, Aruba, Jamaica, and any blues fest nearby and wherever his Harley took him. He was happy to escape Wisconsin winters and reside part-time in Arizona. Joe’s sense of adventure and life-long love of travel accumulated many new acquaintances and grand tales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary. He is survived by his sisters Patricia (Richard), Colleen (Gary), brother Brian (Marci); nieces Kristin (Derek), Laura (Paul), nephews Mike (Angela), Jim (Pam), John, and Joe. He also leaves behind many relatives and treasured friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff who watched over him.
