Obituary
Helen Lorraine “Sally” Denise (nee Knobloch) passed away September 3, 2024 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Sally was born March 24, 1929 in Webster Groves, Missouri. She spent her childhood in Webster Groves and attended several years at Washington University in St Louis; initially to study Interior Design. Ultimately she had a career as a bookkeeper for a credit union, as well as for the city of Lake Tapawingo, MO and for her church.
Sally met her husband, Richard Denise, while in high school. They married in 1949 and enjoyed 64 years together until Richard’s passing in 2014. They had 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren..
Sally and Richard moved many times due to his military service, his college training and several career moves. Most notably they spent time in Rolla MO, Oak Creek WI, Collinsville IL and finally in Blue Springs, MO. After Richard’s passing Sally moved to Sun Prairie, WI.
Sally’s passions in life were her family, her church, her sewing and knitting, traveling and community service. She served many roles in her church and in retirement she and Richard were active with MIMS, a group that traveled to church camps doing restoration work. Sally was also active in her residential community serving on the activity committee and doing the financial accounting for the group.
She is survived by her children: Katie (David) Johnson, Janet (Martin) Nadel, Robert (Cathy) Denise, Dan (Lisa) DeNise and Garet (Judy) Denise, her grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren and by her sister Julie Braun and sisters-in-law Jean Rosenbaum and Peggy Donnolly as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Denise, her parents, George and Mabel Knobloch and her brothers-in-law Lyle Christian, Tony Braun, Dick Rosenbaum, Ralph Donnolly and sister-in-law Jan Christian, son-in-law Martin Nadel, and a niece, Nancy Braun.
Services will be held in both Wisconsin and in Missouri. The Wisconsin service will be 2:00 pm Friday, Sept 13th at Angell Park Apartments, 426 Park Street, Sun Prairie, WI.
Services in Missouri are pending
Interment will be at Forever Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirkwood, MO.

Condolences to Sally's children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. What a wonderful legacy she and Richard left and live on through you.
