Obituary
David Merwyn Schultz, age 76, of Poynette, WI passed away September 14, 2024 after a valiant fight with several health issues. Dave was the middle son of Mildred and Ronald Schultz, born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin July 22, 1948. Survived by his wife Jacqueline “Jackie”, Son, Stacy (Steve Olson) and brother Greg (Marilyn) and many other important family members. Preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Terry (Linda). Dave was a proud Purgolder, graduating from Madison East High School. President and owner of Humane Restraint Co., Inc. for decades, he invented new devices for healthcare and law enforcement professionals. He was a man of many talents. He was an excellent carpenter. He loved racing cars, collecting vintage cars and Harley Davidsons. His enthusiasm and love of racing motivated him and Jackie to host a well known Daytona 500 party for many years, 1995 - 2012. Help Dave celebrate his last lap, September 29, 2024, 1:00 – 4:00P.M. at The Esquire Club, 1025 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison, WI. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Dane County Humane Society.
