Donald Owens

Donald “Don” E. Owens, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at McFarland Villa. He was born on June 13, 1933, to Edward and Sarah (Coyle) in Cross Plains, WI.

Don grew up farming, and this was his passion in life. He worked for the post office and rat farm in Madison before owning his own farm in Mt. Horeb for over 20 years. He loved his family, enjoyed going to dog races, and going to the casino. Don collected antique cars and enjoyed driving them in parades.

Don is survived by children, Roy (Jessica) Owens, Patrick Owens, Kathleen (Scott) Kruk; grandchildren, Royce and Savanna Owens, Aubree and Sophia Kruk; mother of his children, Monina Owens; sisters, Mary Maureen (Rich) Gorst, Doreena Owens, and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Owens.

A private family service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Inurnment will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 1, 2024, at Saint Ignatius Calvary Cemetery, 9418 Co Hwy S, Mt. Horeb, WI.
