I met Diana around late 80s at UW-Milwaukee where I was working as an advisor the American Indian Student Services.. She came into my office as a student. Diana shared a little of her background with me, and who her birth parents were. I recognized her biological dad's name, Matthew Johnston. I was taken back, and excused myself and stepped out to digest this. Her dad was my half brother of whom I never met, but only heard of. It was my mothers second marriage where she had five children by Eddie Johnston, and Matthew was one of the five, and the youngest. We became acquainted and I found her to be very sweet and kind-hearted. But when she left UWM, we lost track of each other. I see she went on to do very well for herself. Her bio parents were proud of her I am sure. She spoke very highly of her adopted parents of whom she loved dearly. I am sorry we never had a chance to connect again after she left UWM. Now you are resting in peace, Diana.
