Obituary
MADISON/MT HOREB – Shelley Lynn Boyes, age 56, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Shelley Bee, as she was affectionately known, was born on June 4, 1968, in Madison, WI to Daniel Boyes and Judy Hansen-Maurer. She graduated from LaFollette High School in 1985. Shelley Bee was a Health Unit Coordinator at Meriter Hospital’s birthing center. She enjoyed rooting for the Badgers & Packers, traveling, and especially spending time with her family. Shelley Bee positively touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Shelley Bee is survived by her parents, Judy (Bruce Ginter) Hansen and Dan Boyes; sons, Tyler Boyes and Chase Wall; grandson, Ollie Boyes; siblings, Sean Boyes and Danny Hansen; uncles & aunts, Steve (Diane) Maurer and Robert (Jojo) Maurer; and special friend, Reggie Moody.
A Celebration of Life will be held Burrow’s Park, 25 Burrows Rd, Madison, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1:00PM until 4:00PM. Bring your own beverages, snacks will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and “her Boyes”. A special thanks to her work family at Meriter Birthing Center and her Eastside friends.
Next time you see a Bee or hear Frank Sinatra, smile and remember “she did it her way”.

We are surprised and saddened to hear that Shelley recently passed away. Her sense of humor and her zest for life were one of a kind, and Shelley loved life. How very sorrowful that she is now gone.
