Obituary
Teresa “Ann” O’Donnell, age 85, passed away on March 9, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on October 15, 1939 in Gays Mills, WI to parents, Leo and Catherine (Hines) McGargle.
Ann graduated from Gays Mills High School in 1957 and went on to graduate from St. Mary's Nursing School. Throughout her career, Ann worked for Mendota State Hospital, Karmenta nursing home, Visiting Nurse Service, and American Red Cross until her retirement.
Ann was dedicated to her faith and to her family. She was a charter member of St. Peter Catholic Church and she was a team Mom for many teams at East Madison Little League.
She was also an avid Brewer and Badger basketball fan.
Ann is survived by her children, Pat (Karen) of Madison, WI, Tim (Carmen) of Brooklyn, WI, Greg of Deforest, WI, Brian (Pam) of Randolph, WI; grandchildren, Keith (Lindsay), Brittany (Andy), Rory, Casey (Christine), Sara (Eric), Grant, Ryan (Sarah); great grandchildren, Jamison, Sophie, Jaxson, Brennan, Elizabeth, Piper, Lina, Ollie; two sisters, Jean (Ray) Ellenbolt of Plain, WI, Jane (John) Biba of Muscoda, WI, and a brother, Larry Murphy of Reedsburg, WI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents; stepfather, Lawrence Murphy; brother, Mark "Buck" Murphy; sister-in-law, Peggy Murphy.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or the American Red Cross.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI. A visitation will take place on Friday, May 9 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, and one hour prior to the Mass, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Philip's Cemetery in Rolling Grounds, WI.

I had the privilege of playing softball with Ann on Slices woman's team. My favorite memory of Ann was her capacity to hit that ball out of the infield every at bat. She was amazing. I was so proud to be her teammate. Rest in peace Ann . loved knowing you!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I such wonderful memories of Ann and her family, way back in our youth at St. Phillips and Rolling Ground. She was always had a smile and was so nice.

Pat-Tim-Greg-Brian & family: Sorry of the loss of your Mom. I shared many years knowing her and made visits to facilities to make visits and bummed around and took me places for appointments since I do not drive. We had many good times and laughs and also when Ellie & Karen joined us also. I could write a book but to the family. My Sympathy
