Kathleen Liegel

MADISON – Kathleen “Kathy” Liegel, age 63, passed away at home, peacefully in her sleep on April 3, 2016. Kathy was born on September 3, 1952 to Archie and Nellie Pulvermacher in Richland Center. She graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1973 and has worked in geriatric care at nursing homes in the Madison area and most recently at Attic Angel Place. Kathy married Reg Liegel on September 8, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. She was a lifelong member at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Kathy enjoyed traveling, fishing, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. Kathy had a loving heart that touched many people.

Kathy is survived by her husband; her sons Zach, Matt, and Jon; her granddaughter, Natalie; sisters, Bernadette (Herb) Mansfield of Wakefield, RI, Barb (Mike) Guenther of Madison, and Janet (Tim) Turner of Portland, OR; brothers, Bob (Jody) Pulvermacher of Waunakee, and Ron (Kim) Pulvermacher of Green Bay; mother of Natalie, Niki Duerst Liegel. Further survived by other family and friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
