Geraldine “Jeri” Erickson

Jeri and I were friends through our membership at Harbor Athletic Club's water aerobics classes. We shared fun times talking in the locker room and birthday parties. One day she asked me to do a watercolor painting of the view she loved from her living room window. So since it was then that I decided to put color into the painting dreary winter day, I added some color in the leaves and flowers to make it brighter. Well, Jeri wasn't happy and asked me to repaint it monochromatically. So I painted it over, and Jeri was at last happy. We shared many laughs over the years and I will miss her!

One of my favorite memories with Jeri was the time Teri and Jeri came out for a visit us in Colorado. One night - Jill and Teri went off to a concert, Jeri and I stayed behind and played cards late into the night. She beat me, of course, and in true Jeri fashion decided we needed to celebrate her victory — with tequila over ice cream. Some people prefer chocolate, but that night, tequila was the perfect topping. We laughed and laughed until our sides hurt, and it’s a moment I’ll always treasure — her non stop laughter that night, her sparkle, and that joyful spirit that could turn an ordinary evening into something unforgettable.
