Charles Neustadter

DeFOREST/MADISON – Charles Raymond Neustadter, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 2, 2026. Chuck was born on November 8, 1954, in Madison, WI to Bernard and Doris (Pharo) Neustadter. He grew up on the North Side of Madison and graduated from East High School in 1972. Chuck worked at Interstate Periodical for 25 years and later went to Kramer Printing, where he retired at the age of 63. Chuck married his partner in crime, Sherrie Johnson, on September 10, 1983, at Olbrich Gardens. He loved music, specifically, Paul McCartney, the Beatles, and Elvis, longtime Brewers and Raiders fan, air shows with B17s, classic car shows, and spending time with his family. We will never forget his jokes and stories. Chuck could get a conversation out of a rock; he will be greatly missed.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sherrie; children, Paul (Christina), Richard (Sarah), Brittany (Robert) Nakkula, and Samantha; and grandchildren, Lukas, Donovan, Elizabeth, Chase, Jackson, Viollette, Finley, Adeline and his four-legged grandbaby, Kodiak; great grandchildren, Jackson, Zoey, and Oliver. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel; and his four-legged daughters, Heidi, JJ, Gretchen, and Sofie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Drive, DeForest. A visitation will be held from 4:00PM until time of service on Thursday at the church.
