I worked on a committee with Leo years ago when St. Michael’s Church merged with St. Patrick’s Church which lead to the Blessed Trinity Parish. At the same time, consideration was being given to linking with St. Thomas in Poynette. He was a great member of the committee.

Leo and I both worked for the USPS. Leo in Madison and I in Milwaukee. Eventually our paths crossed at regular postal staff meetings. He was a very congenial and personable individual and we hit it off immediately. He made those staff meetings much more tolerable. It was some years later that Leo attended a few of my musical singing performances. In addition, Linda and Leo would meet my wife and I for lunch on occasion. We really enjoyed getting together with them. I knew how much the neuropathy was troubling him. I prayed he would overcome it, but sadly that would not be the case. I was saddened by the news of his passing, but I know he is no longer suffering. I will miss good old Leo and the birthday cards he would send me over the years. My deepest condolences to Linda, his family, and his friends. May the good Lord bless and keep Leo until we meet again. God Bless you Leo.

We were class mates, young and alive, not thinking we would ever grow old. I moved away but I stayed in contact every now and then. I came back for a class reunion a few years back and a few of us went to see Leo, I think it did more for us than him. We added Linda to our Thursday morning prayer meeting several years back. We young back then, not supposed to die, but here we are, rest in peace Leo, Linda you are still on our men’s prayer list.

I'm 73yrs old and when I was about 7 or 8 I was a patient in St. Mary's hospital. Back then you shared a room. My roommate was Leo. He was older and he brought his transistor radio . WISM was the station to listen to. The song Volare was popular and my favorite. Every (and I mean every) time it came on ,I asked Leo to turn it up and he would. He was so patient and accommodating that I never forgot his name. That was a long time ago and the only time I ever saw him. I looked him up online a few months back because I wanted to contact him and tell how much that meant to me but I didn't know what he would think. Now I wish I had . My condolences to his family. He must've been a wonderful man.
