I worked with Deloris at Human Services. She was one of the most genuine, good-natured, and friendly people I've known. I admired her energetic union and political contributions.

I first met Deloris when I was a young bride of 18. We lived just up the hill from her on Mandrake Road and I often rode to work with her at USAFI. She was areal character and I mean that in a positive way,. Absolutely hilarious, witty, fun, helpful and kind. Smart as a whip, she usually had people and situations figured out way before the rest of us did! We have been gone from Madison for 27 years, but every so often I still think of her and smile. So sorry to hear of Deloris' passing. She was a great friend and neighbor of ours when I was growing up. She literally made sure I knew I should attend college - and I did! Hugs to her family. ❤️
