Van Teskey

I got to know Van as a frequent caller to Madison sports talk radio probably 20 or so years ago. We developed a casual relationship over time and ultimately, he MC'd a fund-raising event for the social service agency where I worked. He was a very kind man.

I remember Van from my days at Liquor Town and seeing him at Miller's in Verona. Always had a smile, a handshake and a kind word for everyone. While a personality on the radio, he was a personality in life. I will miss seeing him but will remember him with a smile.

We shared so much for so very long, and you were never less than a source of light and laughter. My heart breaks beneath the weight of losing you.
