Obituary For Alice M. Langer

Pardeeville – Alice M. Langer born on November 30, 1945, and unexpectedly passed away on October 6, 2022.

Alice graduated from DeForest High School and worked for the Bankruptcy Court prior to starting her family. After her children went to school, she began working for ABS Global and retired from there after over 30 years. The highlight of her years at ABS were her co-op students whom she loved and remained in contact with over the years.

Mom hated pictures but had a smile for everyone she met, her laugh was infectious and hugs intense. She loved her time with her ladies’ group, playing cards, attending concerts, Friday night fish fries and was always up for a good breakfast or lunch date. She also loved to travel and was very much looking forward to a long trip scheduled for December with her family. Her great granddaughters even convinced her to get a swimsuit for the trip since the house will have an indoor pool. For those of you that know mom, that is huge! She would do anything for those kiddos. Mom was also very excited about the next chapter she was set to start in her new condo in just a few short weeks.

Alice is survived by daughter Lisa Dushack (Frank) of Poynette, WI; granddaughters Kelsea Dushack (Mike) of Pardeeville, WI and Kylea Dowden (Chris) of DeForest, WI; and her beloved great grandbabies who were the light of everyday – Brayleigh, Paisleigh, Madix, Gabe, Everett, Layklynn and Quinley. Her beloved dog Sassy was never out of sight or far from her side. She is further survived by her sister Linda Lochner (Bill), many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and an estranged daughter and her family whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice; father, John; and sister, Jean Ann.

A private burial will be held at a future date.

Mom, you left us way too soon. We love you and will miss you beyond measure. Always in our hearts. If you wish to honor Alice, please do so with a donation in her name to DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services).

My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. I worked with Alice at ABS. She was an amazing lady. A smile for everyone. Her favorite song that she would always ask me to sing was I Wish I Was a Teddy Bear by Barbara Fairchild. I always got a hug from her for that. Loved Alice, she will be missed. Kristi Barbian

What sad news this is! I too spent a week in summer with my cousins Jean Ann, Alice and Linda since I think my parents wanted to liven me up a little. We played endless Monopoly games and Alice would jump out and scare me in the dark hallway on my way to the bathroom. Our cousins lunches took a break in the pandemic, but it is time to get together again! Alice Marie, you will be missed! Carol Boehlke

My deepest sympathies to all of Alice's family. I am so saddened to learn of her passing. As first cousins the same age (almost) we stayed at each other's houses for a while almost every summer. Never a dull moment with Alice around! My heart goes out to all of you on this heartbreaking loss. May God be with you. Cousin Pat

Our prayers are with you all at this time. I will miss her and her friendly smiles and talks. She was always there to lend a helping hand. My favorite memory of her is with my dad whom she shared a birthday date with. My parents were going on a trip to California and Dad asked what they could bring her back and she said "oh just a cowboy." He brought her back a cowboy doll. Love you Alice and miss you. Your friend always Marty!

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
