Obituary For Ann Lanzendorf

Ann Lanzendorf, (May 2, 1931 - Jan 20, 2024)

On Friday, January 20, 2024, our beloved Ann gracefully transcended this world, finding peace in the comfort of her own home, exactly as she wanted. While our hearts ache, they overflow with the memories of a woman who illuminated our lives with her unwavering strength and boundless love.

Ann was predeceased by her loving husband, William "Barney" Lanzendorf, their son Greg, and several other cherished family members. However, the legacy she leaves behind is vibrant, carried on by her children and their families: son Brad Lanzendorf; son Randy Lanzendorf with former spouse Ellen, and their children Ryan, Kasey, and Linzey; grandchildren, Tony and Stefanie; son Mike Lanzendorf with former spouse Kathy, and their children Chase and Kali; great grandchildren Tristan, Ava, Avery, Olivia, and Graysen; and extended family John and Miley—all will forever hold a piece of her spirit close.

A beacon of strength, Ann gracefully navigated life surrounded by five spirited men—her husband and four sons. Amidst the testosterone, she remained cool as a cucumber, always quietly reminding everyone of their place and who the *real* boss was.

Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs might have held a special place in her heart, but lately, she sported USC Trojan gear with the utmost pride, gifts from her eldest grandson, Ryan. Ann’s banana bread, zucchini bread, and dill dip went unrivaled & were all crowd favorites during family gatherings. All of the Wheel of Fortune contestants had nothing on Ann and would have been very afraid—she often solved puzzles in record time. We’re confident Pat Sajak and Vanna White would have enjoyed her spunk.

Undercover sassy and sharp as a tack, Ann continued to make her own decisions, including choosing the time to bid farewell.

Ann, your family misses you, loves you, and will never forget you. Until we meet again, may you rest in eternal paradise.

We were saddened to hear of her passing. She was Grandma Ann to our family too. She was always so welcoming and kind to our kids. We will miss just knowing she's down the street. Sincerely, Kyle and Jenny Sydow

Grandma - Through thick & thin, you've always been there for me. So much about me is all from you. I hope that I made you proud, because I'm so proud to be your grandson. I will cherish our days together for as long as I live. Love always, Ryan.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
