Obituary For Carol Jean Cork

Madison - Carol "Nana" J. Cork, aged 71, passed away at Meriter hospital on March 8th 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan on Sept. 17th 1951 to Viola Mae and Lawrence Gordon Leask.

She was an avid lover of elephants and, for unknown reasons, geese. She could usually be found taking long walks around the neighborhood, enjoying the outdoors and admiring nature. In the summer her apartment was usually full to the brim with grandchildren, making innumerable unforgettable memories together.

She is survived by her eldest brother Larry Leask; her three children, Laura (Phil) Molenkamp, Thomas "Tommy" (Kirsten) Cork, and Kristi (Joe) Cork; her beloved Grandchildren, Korie Danz, Savion (Martha) Villarreal, Abigail Danz, Payne Cork, Melissa Cork and Jamie Cork; and her great-grandchildren, "Little" Savion Villarreal, Leo Legler and Kai Legler; and her cat Merlin.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her youngest brother Dave Leask and her best buddy her cat Otto Butt.

A special thank you to all the nurses at Meriter hospital and a special shout out to her nurse Vik. A celebration of life will be held in the warmer months (as she would have wanted). Details will be shared in a facebook page to be posted later.

“There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.”

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
