Obituary For Charles John Geppert

Madison/Middleton-

Charles John “Charlie” Geppert, age 30, was taken from us too soon, to be with our Lord, on Thursday, January 11, 2024. He was born on March 28, 1993, in Madison, WI, the son of John and Becky (Wright) Geppert. Charlie excelled in youth sports and especially loved playing football and basketball. He graduated from Middleton High School in 2011.

Charlie was a huge Packer fan, he loved playing video games and eating his mom’s cooking. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Charlie’s sweet smile brought us great joy.

He is survived by his parents, John and Becky; his siblings, Melissa (Kyle) Leipold, Calvin (Josie) Geppert, Emma (Jacob) Bilicke and Julia (Wesley) Kimmel; nieces and nephews, Marietta, Noah, Cora, Iva, Mara, Everett, Leona, Bella and Olivia; also many aunts, uncles and too many cousins to count.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Geppert and cousin, Lela Wright-Landsverk and grandparents Ed and Julia Wright and Dr. Charles Geppert.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at High Point Church, 7702 Old Sauk Road, Madison, with Reverend Nic Gibson officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church. To honor Charlie’s love for the Packers, please wear your green and gold to the service.

Memorials may be made to Caravel Autism Health.

John and Becky and family, It is more than a coincidence that we talked recently at church about Charlie. I am extending my prayer and sympathy to you for Carlie's untimely passing, your son that was loved and in whom many had invested. Knowing of his upbringing with you in faith, I am encouraged that you are assured he is with our Lord now. Dr. Bill Heifner

My first memory of Charlie was at Mrs. Moyer's home for a prekindergarten gathering. I remember it well because not only did we each have an adorable little boy but we were also toting another baby with us. I remember Charlie's sweet smile. I also was able to see Charlie's love and skill at basketball and soccer as he and Michael went through school together. They are special memories we share. Now Charlie is truly home and truly safe in the Father's arms. He will also carry you as you grieve the loss of your precious child. We love your family! what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
