Obituary For Kimberly Wiedenbeck

Sun Prairie - Kimberly Wiedenbeck, age 61, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at home after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born on July 19, 1962, in Madison, WI to parents Thomas and Karen (Holmes) Fish. She was a graduate of Madison East High School and spent much of her life in caregiving or helping roles as a health aide. Kim also spent time as a volunteer firefighter with the Marshall Fire Department before her initial cancer diagnosis at age 35. Kim was an avid animal lover and was a member and donated to many various animal and cancer foundations. She loved her family and asked that her father call her Hilda as a child. She was close to her brother Kevin and referred to her sister as her Irish twin. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed laughing. Kim became a mother at a young age and did not hesitate to raise her daughters to become strong, independent, and stubborn women much like herself.

She is survived by her daughters, Mollie (Casey) Jesberger and Katie (Ted Sanicola) Wiedenbeck as well as her father Thomas Fish, sister Susan Peterson, grandchildren Carson and Selah Jesberger, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Karen (Holmes) Fish, her brother Kevin Fish, and her grandparents.

In respect of her wishes, a private family service and burial will be held at a later date where she will be laid to rest with her mother Karen, brother Kevin, and other family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Agrace Hospice staff for their work and support during her difficult time and Ryan Funeral Home for their support of the family. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www.ryanfuneralservice.com.

Condolences

I just wanted to say Kim was a great friend. I'm so sorry to hear she passed away. She was such a wonderful person. I will miss her. I think about her often. I would give her updates on the strawberries and the corn for sale by my house. I would give her vegetables from my garden. She loved that. I had a box of veggies for her this summer but she didn't answer her phone and I wasn't sure where her house was. I want to give my sympathy to her family.

We were really close when younger. We had a lot of fun times back in Whitehouse days. Her husband then Tom and my Husband Bob Kiesow went on many adventures. She was pregnant with Mollie and we decided to go rafting at Shotgun Eddie's. Mind u this was whitewater rafting. Loaded up in her Red Truck at night set up camp went rafting. Kim got out of raft before rapids thinking she would be on a path for walking. (NOT). Well we got back to camp, rained all day. Went to first hotel. She was a trooper only complained a little 😏. I visited with her awhile ago. Rest in peace Kim.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
