Obituaries

DeForest - Robert (Bob) Raymond Ranguette left this earthy world in the early morning on Nov 16, 2022. He was born on April 25, 1939, to Raymond (Dude) and Lorrraine Ranguette in Escanaba Michigan. He grew up in Manistique, Michigan and graduated from Manistique, Michigan high school in 1957. He graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1961.

He married Vonda Lee Faulkner on August 16, 1958 and together they celebrated 64 years of marriage.

He is survived by his four children, Laurie (Dean) Rohde, Cheryl (Joe) Munns, Val Ranguette (Chuck Phillips) and Bill (Heidi) Ranguette. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 ½ Great Grandchildren. He is further survived by his two sisters, Christine (Larry) Fisette and Debra (Neil) Hartman.

He spent most of his adult life in Wisconsin owning several businesses including the Hamacher Motel, a Hotel in TX, Party Port Liquor Store in Madison, Royal Scot Golf Course in New Franken, WI and a motel in Prairie Du Chin WI.

He was a life-long Chicago Bears fan and went to the 2007 Super Bowl. He was a proud Wisconsin Badger Fan for over 50 years. His passion was golfing. He enjoyed playing Iconic courses of the game including St. Andrews in Scotland, but he was just as happy playing at the municipal course in Spring Green. Bob was able to fulfill a dream of attending the final 2 rounds of the Masters in 2007.

The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for the in-home care. Their kindness and care made him and the family very comfortable in his final days.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish, 602 Everglade Dr, Madison, on Saturday, November 19, 2022, with Fr. Bart Timmerman presiding.
