DEFOREST - Beverly Endres Gordon passed away at home on Jan. 26, 2018, at the age of 63, after a courageous fight with ovarian cancer. Bev always lived life to the fullest. Bev worked as a nurse for over 30 years, starting at the VA hospital and retiring from Meriter Hospital. Her career may have ended, but she never lost her desire to care for others. She had a special ability to light up a room with her smile and make everyone feel welcome. She was also gifted with the creative ability to repurpose everything and anything. She will be remembered by many for her generosity with her time, love, and cookies. Bev loved spending time and supporting her friends and family. Her favorite days were spent in the water or on the boat. There are many fun memories of trips and adventures with Bev.
She is survived by Don, the love of her life, her Lodi High School sweetheart, and husband of 41 years. Bev was most proud of her hardworking, kind and well-humored children, Cyndee (David Wollenhaupt), Amy (Michael Lorenz), and Greg (who preceded her in death). Her beloved grandchildren, who will always hold a special place in her heart, include Brayden Gordon, Sienna Wollenhaupt, and Alissa, Nate and Sam Lorenz.
Her humor, and support will be deeply missed by her siblings, Eileen Waldow of Colorado, Jerry (Linda) Endres of Verona, Bob Endres of Lodi, Del Endres of New Mexico, and Louise (Kelly) Moore of Cedarburg; along with loving nieces and nephews and all those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Louise (Miller) Endres; her brother, Virg; and her sister, Yvonne Ziegler.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, with Rev. Brent Bickel officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for the exceptional care they gave Bev, so she could stay at home. In Bev's name, extend a helping hand to someone in need. Celebrate Life. Pass it on. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit www.ryanfuneralservice.com.
