Obituary

MADISON - Donna Marie Marx, age 89, passed away in her sleep on December 31, 2020 at Skaalen Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. She was born on April 14, 1931 in Alpena, MI to parents Robert and Pansy Dilsworth (Riley).

Donna attended Girls Tech High School, Layton Art School and MATC in Milwaukee. Throughout her career Donna worked as a library aide, photographer, retail salesperson and secretary of Russell's Madison Lawn Care business. She was also quite a good seamstress, sewing many clothes and made many quilts.                                   

In 1953 Donna Marie married Russell in Milwaukee and then they made their home in Madison. Together they enjoyed collecting art and listening to jazz music. Donna was a member of the Madison Print Club, Madison Jazz Society as well as a long time member of Midvale Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Church Circle, P. E. O., Christian Women's Club and Daughters of Demeter.                                                             

Donna Marie is survived by her children, Donalee, JoAnn, and Darryl (Christine), grandchildren, Rob (Katie), Lauren, Tyler (Beth), Ian and great grandson, Grant.                                            

The family would like to give special thanks to Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Agrace Hospice for the exceptional care for our Mom as well as helping our family through these difficult times. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna's name may be made to Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Agrace Foundation of Madison or Midvale Lutheran Church.
