She was born February 26, 1932 in Albany, Wis., the daughter of Genevieve and Carl Reinitz.  She graduated from Albany High School in 1949, and went on to graduate from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Madison.  Marlene enjoyed a very long nursing career with the University of Wisconsin Hospital, and then went on to enjoy 25 years of wonderful retirement.

Marlene met and married her husband Gayle, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force, in Tampa, FL, in 1953.  They enjoyed 65 wonderful years of marriage.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and friend.  Her friendships were very dear to her.  Marlene was a great cook, loved to read, played the piano and sang in the church choir, along with being very active in many church committees.
