Phyllis A. MeixnerJanuary 16, 1933 ~ May 26, 2017 (age 84)
DeForest – Phyllis A. Meixner passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Waunakee Manor. She was born on January 16, 1933 at home in the township of Windsor, to Emil and Anna (Mueller) Meixner. She was the 8th of 10 children. Phyllis went to DeForest High School where she played in the band and sang in the chorus. She graduated in 1951 and worked at Culver Electric as a bookkeeper for 37 years. She was treasurer of North Windsor UMC for many years, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.
She enjoyed doing ceramics, and loved working on her lawn and flower garden. She welcomed her many nieces and nephews to come for meals and thoroughly enjoyed cooking for them, and because she had such a big lawn, they could really have fun playing there. She also enjoyed her trips to Hawaii and multiple trips to Boston and Branson.
She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Rowe; sister-in-law, Judy Meixner; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth (Fay) Perry and Helen (George) Millard Sr.; 6 brothers, Raymond (Betty Lou), William, Edward (Mary), Albert, Donald (June) and Richard; and brother-in-law, Donald Rowe.
A special thanks to Waunakee Manor for the excellent care she received from them, and to a special niece who took care of all her needs for the last 6 years.
