DeForest, WI- James Tiedt, age 56 passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 7th, 2020. Born on January 17th, 1964 in Madison, WI, son of Leo and Elizabeth (Toonen) Tiedt.
He graduated High School from Madison East. He went on to get an Associate’s Degree from MATC in Fire Protection and EMT in 1986. He later went to trade school and wrote his Journeyman for plumbing. He loved football, specifically the Packers and the Badgers. He also was an avid woodworker and loved creating perfect things for all that he loved. As his children grew older, he loved to travel and visit every waterfall in the state of Wisconsin.
He is survived by his four children, Heather (Johnell) Tiedt of Pardeeville, Erik Tiedt of Sun Prairie, Logan Tiedt of DeForest, and Grace Tiedt of Sun Prairie; six grand-children: Easton, Kashton, Takara, Israel, Asa, and Soraya; two little boys close to his heart; Lincoln and Leopold Madsen; and five siblings, Donna (Ken) Critchfield, Dan (Ann) Tiedt, Ken (Barb) Tiedt, Jo (Dave) Kippert, and Andy (Janice) Tiedt.
