Thomas G. Kaitchuck

November 25, 1933 ~ September 26, 2019 (age 85)

Madison - Thomas G. Kaitchuck, age 85, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Oak Park Place.  Tom was born November 25, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late William and Lillian (Larson) Kaitchuck.

Tom served in both the Colorado National Guard and the United States Army.  Tom spent his career as a tool and die maker in Minneapolis, MN at Northland Aluminum and retired from Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical in San Diego, CA.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Dee) Kaitchuck of Madison, Dale Kaitchuck of Otsego, MN, and Kari (Michael) O’Connor of Waunakee; his four grandchildren, Kiara Kaitchuck, Heidi (Jason) Nielsen, Justin (Renee) Kaitchuck and Shani (Mark) Meyer; and seven great grandchildren, Madeline Nielsen, Justin Jr., RaeLynn, Makilah, and Destiny Kaitchuck, and Hadley and Tatum Meyer. He is further survived by his sister, Laurel Delin of Lincolnshire, IL; his sister-in-law, Donna Kaitchuck of Evanston, IL; nieces, Deborah (Tom) Dorn of Wauwatosa, WI, Diane (Greg) Pasenko of Wilmette, IL and Linda (Jim) Estes; and nephews, Mark (April) Delin of Escondido, CA and Kevin Kaitchuck of Morton Grove, IL.

Tom is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Kaitchuck; his twin brother, Ted Kaitchuck; and brother-in-law John Delin.

Tom enjoyed living many years in California where he spent time with friends.  His hobbies included photography, traveling, operating ham radio, listening to music, and bicycling.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers at Oak Park Place. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date this fall. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
